What is it about candles that makes them still popular today? Practically every modern home has a candle or a few candles on display.
Although candles were originally used to provide light back in the earlier centuries, we see a different use for the candle these days. Yes, they still provide illumination and are used for certain religious practices and other ceremonies, but the use of the candle has broadened and has taken on an aesthetic quality.

Another reason of candles’ popularity besides being a good house décor is that the fact handcrafted candles still do create a romantic ambience like a romantic candlelit dinner. There are kinds of electric lighting that can mimic the dim light of candles, but there is still something more classic with soft glow of a candle.
Candles can even provide a soothing or meditative ambience and are commonly found in bathrooms for a nice long soak in the bathtub and are still popular gift choices.
